The ADA Workshop – Applied Diversity Awareness – in Graz was focusing on theoretical informations and personal experiences. Besides facts about diversity, a much broader effect is occurring in an individual setting. All of us are touched and directly exposed to everyday diversity issues but just in a small amount of time we are able to reflect that experience.
In the ADA Workshop in Graz – besides knowledge of diversity theories – we directly connected information to an own perspective. A diversity walk in pairs and based on a catalog of questions did provided a forum for multi-sensual experiences without referring to individual dimensions, which are not adequately mentioned in public. Especially diversity issues are in danger to be too personal too quick, which is why a professional educative format should be well thought to fit into professional settings.
